TAQA - Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement

This qualification is part of the training, assessment and quality assurance (TAQA) suite of courses. It is ideal if you are a practitioner who assesses knowledge and/or skills in vocationally-related subject areas using assessment methods such as the following:
- Assessments in simulated environments
- Skills Tests
- Oral and written questions
- Assignments
- Projects
- Cases Studies
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RLP)
These assessment methods may take place in training workshops, classrooms or other learning environments.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements but a basic competency in English and maths will be necessary and it is expected that all assessors and quality assurance individuals have occupational competence in the areas that they are assessing in.
You will also need to be working in a role that involves assessment of learners.
Course Content
The Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement is worth 9 credits. It consists of the units below:
Unit 1 – Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
Unit 3 – Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding
Assessment
Assessment for this qualification is by a combination of written answers, work related portfolio evidence, professional discussion and observed assessment.
Course Fees
Course fees must be settled prior to the start of the course. If you have not achieved your qualification by the planned end date detailed in your individual learning plan, continued support and course access is available by paying monthly direct debit payments until certification is achieved.

£950 plus £65 Awarding Body Fees*.
* Awarding Body Fees are payable by all students or employers and recharged at cost and may be subject to change.
