TAQA - Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

This qualification is designed for practitioners who lead the internal quality assurance process within a centre or organisation and have a responsibility for managing the quality of the assessment process, practice and the performance of assessors. You may also develop systems and lead on visits from outside agencies such as awarding organisations.

- Attendance: One to one session with allocated tutor plus online learning material. In addition, all tuition, support and assessment will be provided in the workplace, online, by an e-portfolio and via email and telephone contact.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements but a basic competency in English and maths will be necessary and it is expected that all assessors and quality assurance individuals have occupational competence in the areas that they are assessing in.
You will also need to be working in a role where you have responsibility for managing the quality of the assessment process, practice and performance of assessors. You may also be required to develop systems and lead on visits from outside agencies such as awarding organisations.
Please note: As our courses include online learning components, students are required to have access to a PC or laptop with a reliable internet connection.
Course Content
During the programme you will undertake the following units:
- Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internally Assuring the Quality of Assessment
- Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment
- Plan, Allocate and Monitor Work in Own Area of Responsibility
Assessment
Assessment for this qualification is by a combination of written answers, work related portfolio evidence and observed assessment.
