AAT Accounting Apprenticeships – are they right for your business?

As an employer, ensuring your team has the skills and knowledge they need to excel is crucial for the success of your business. And this is exactly what apprenticeships are designed to do! In recent times, apprenticeships have been reformed; new apprenticeship standards have been designed by employers for employers to make sure that they are fit for purpose and produce qualified members of staff that have the skills, knowledge and behaviours to excel.
Contrary to popular belief, apprenticeships are also not just for young people or new recruits, they can be undertaken by existing employees who would benefit from new learning, and there is no upper age limit. So, a more accurate belief, and one that we hope catches on, would be that apprenticeships are cost effective ways to train/upskill all members of the team. Of course, there are some eligibility criteria that apply (such as living and working in England) so it is always important to check with your training provider about individual circumstances before applying.
At CAW Business School, we offer AAT Accounting Apprenticeships at levels 2, 3 and 4, alongside our Association of Accounting Technicians qualifications (AAT). Students undertaking an apprenticeship with us will also sit the AAT exams and gain an AAT qualification as well as undertake the apprenticeship assessments.
Why are our apprenticeships so good?
Of course we would think our own apprenticeships are the best, but here are some of the reasons why we think this:
- We genuinely care about our students. We tend to have smaller class sizes which means that our students get more opportunities for individualised attention and build excellent relationships with their tutor and classmates; this is reflected in our results and feedback from employers.
- Classroom and online learning options. We recognise that some people learn better in a classroom environment, and others like to learn at their own pace at a time and place convenient to them. To cater to this, we offer both classroom courses and aat accounting online courses with tutor support options. Which option you choose is down to you!
- Qualified and experience tutors. Our tutors are all experienced and qualified accountants with a wealth of experience; bringing learning to life with real world examples. Regular reviews and tutorials help to keep students on track and support them with any areas they are struggling with.
Want to take on a new apprentice? We can help with that!
If you’re looking to recruit someone specifically for an apprenticeship role, we can help. We can advertise your job vacancy on the national apprenticeship service website, process and screen applicants for you, and provide you with a shortlist of potential candidates that you can select for interview. We can even help to arrange the interviews too if you wish!
