If you are working in an administrative support roles within public or private sector organisations, this course will help improve your administrative skills whilst building up your CV.
Throughout the course, you’ll develop the skills required to provide reliable administrative support, handling both routine duties and more varied tasks as your confidence grows. Depending on your job role and the units you select, you may gain experience in areas such as supporting meetings, producing business documents, handling communication and customer enquiries, and managing filing systems and office resources.
This business administration qualification will help you to become a more organised, capable, and confident member of an administrative team, supporting the smooth running of your organisation.
This business administration course is made up of the following mandatory units:

You will not be required to attend college, your tuition will be provided online, and you will be supported by a personal tutor who will assess your work and provide feedback. Regular contact and support will be carried out by your tutor via email, telephone and Microsoft Teams.
You will complete online examinations and a portfolio, and pass work-based practical assessments.
Our online, distance learning courses can be started at any time. You will work through your online course materials at a time that is convenient to you and be supported by a personal tutor.
There are no formal academic entry requirements. However, you must be working or volunteering in an administrative role for at least 10 hours a week.
Please note: As our courses include online learning components, students are required to have access to a PC or laptop with a reliable internet connection.

Awarding Body Fees - £171
All students or employers are required to pay the awarding body fees in addition to the course fees. Please note that these are recharged at cost and may be subject to change.
CAW Loans2Learn
Course fees must be paid in full before the course begins. If you are unable to do so, we offer a personal loan scheme (Loans2Learn) that can help you to spread the cost into manageable monthly payments over a period of up to five years, subject to eligibility. It can be used to fully, or partially, cover your course fee (but does not cover any awarding body fees, such as enrolment and examination fees which are payable on top). Example repayment - a Loans2Learn loan for the full course fee of £1,195 over 24 months would equate to monthly repayments of approximately £55 per month (please note this is an indicative price based on current fees and interest rates).

If you have not achieved your qualification by the planned end date detailed in your individual learning plan, continued support and course access is available by paying monthly direct debit payments, or applying for a supplementary or increased loan, until certification is achieved.

These may be as a result of age, employment status, previous education achievements, or location for example, and are outside the control of CAW Business School (The College of Animal Welfare).
On completion of this qualification you could apply for the City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration or the Business Administrator (Level 3 Apprenticeship) and then progress onto the City & Guilds Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Business Administration.
Alternatively, you could also branch out into related areas of business, such as Customer Service or Accounting and Bookkeeping, in order to enhance your skillset further.

You need to be working in an administrative role whilst studying this qualification. This doesn't have to be via paid employment, you could be volunteering (for at least 10 hours per week).
No, as a private further education provider fees are applicable to all students. We do have a Loans2Learn scheme that can help you to spread the costs of study into manageable monthly payments.
Administrators are needed in many different types of organisations and therefore job prospects are excellent. There are opportunities for both office-based, hybrid and home-based roles.
In the future you could find yourself diversifying into a number of related roles such as personal assistant, customer service manager, office supervisor or team leader.
