New Year, New Goal?

A funny thing tends to happen at the beginning of every year; people become enthusiastic, energetic and full of aspiration. They decide that now is the time to set themselves a shiny new goal, but why now?! What is it about the start of the New Year that gives the impression of a slate being wiped clean and ready to start again?

If there is something that you really want to achieve, then why wait?

There may be a couple of good excuses (want to get fit?) gym prices are likely to have good joining offers in January. Perhaps there may be a little more support from friends around you trying to achieve the same objectives, but what happens come February?  Well the usual answer is absolutely nothing has changed. Most resolutions have been broken, until you vow to attempt them the following year – but at least you tried right?!

Wrong! There is another way!  How about you determine what you want to achieve, work out what you need to do in order to get there and start working towards it, NOW!

January, February, March, does it really matter what month you actually start something? No, so don’t delay, decide what it is you want to achieve, whether it be quitting smoking, a step up in your career or driving your business forward; you can do it anytime you want.
